The pens are manufactured with tough nibs, so they are able to withstand the higher pressure applied by children without splaying and becoming unusable before their time. They also provide greater accuracy than softer nibs for high visibility across a classroom; as does the bullet tip, which is ideal for creating thick, even lines and bold markings rather than text.
