The climate is an important subject, and the Weather Station offers all the tools needed to educate about the changing climate around us. Includes: • Rain collector/gauge • Wind sock to visually detect what direction the wind is blowing • Thermometer • Transparent viewing tube to monitor plant growth • Weather gauge featuring recognisable weather types • Starter Beaufort Scale on blackboard • Compass Rose • Wind Chart This colourful double-sided Weather Station allows children to engage in observing and measuring the environment around them. Track and record wind speeds using the wind chart, and dials, alongside classroom projects or fun outdoor activities, such as monitoring the daily weather within each season. Young children will enjoy learning fun facts and discussing how the weather is today, whilst older children can be introduced to measures such as the Beaufort scale and scientific terminology.Unit is free standing for mobility around the playground, but optional ground anchors (for soil / grass) are supplied for extra safety and for a permanent fixing.
