Pocket Sprung Cot Bed Mattress

The Pocket Sprung Mattress range is British made and designed to offer comfort, support and practical hygiene benefits for babies and young children. Available in two sizes, each mattress is 10cm thick and features individual pocketed springs encased in a superior grade of dent resistant nursery fibre. Each spring is sewn into its own self-contained micro pocket, allowing the springs to move independently. This helps the mattress contour to your baby’s body shape and support a natural sleep posture.

The mattress core is encased in a stocking net and includes an adjustable waterproof membrane, allowing it to be positioned where needed, including for feet to foot sleep positioning. The breathable construction also supports ventilation through the mattress. The fully bound and quilted cover is made from BabyTec fabric, specially developed to be hypoallergenic, water resistant, wipe clean and fully breathable. A side zip allows easy removal, and the cover can be washed at 60°C to support everyday hygiene in nursery and home environments.

Designed to be chemical free, eco friendly, recyclable and free from odour, the Pocket Spring Mattress range offers a practical and comfortable sleep surface for cots and cot beds. Each mattress complies with BS EN 16890:2017+A1:2021 for cot mattress safety requirements, BS 1877 Part 10 for safety and performance, and BS 7177:2008+A1:2011 for low hazard resistance to ignition, making it a dependable choice

The mattress meets the applicable mattress standard and its quilted cover does not compromise firmness or flatness. However, the supplied cover is water-resistant rather than waterproof, and the adjustable waterproof membrane covers only approximately two-thirds of the mattress. Liquid may penetrate the mattress core following prolonged or heavy exposure. We therefore cannot confirm that the entire mattress meets our safer-sleep waterproof criterion without use of an additional, fully fitted waterproof protector.
