Designed for what occupational therapists call 'postural or sensory modulation therapy', the platform is purpose-built for therapeutic work. The two suspension points mean children can experience different planes of movement, increasing both vestibular input and therapeutic challenge. Sit, kneel, lie prone, lie supine, stand (with appropriate supervision) - the platform supports all of these positions, each of which targets different sensory and motor goals.

The therapeutic uses are extensive: shaping bilateral motor coordination, strengthening equilibrium reactions, building eye-hand coordination, integrating tonic reflexes (especially the Tonic Lingering Reflex), strengthening postural muscle tone, building both flexion and extension control, and providing general nervous system stimulation through gentle or strong vestibular and proprioceptive input. The carpeted surface adds a tactile dimension and helps prevent slipping during dynamic activities.
